Nenriema

Nenriema is one of Tiriel's two moons, the other being Súriema.

Behavior & Appearance

Nenriema is the smaller of the two moons, and faster, having an average cycle length of around 44 days, half of Súriema's 92. It has a pale color that turns more yellow in warmer seasons, and so is often known as the Golden Moon.

Mythology & Tradition

In ancient song and lore it is said that Nenriema and Súriema are the spirits of two brothers who gave their lives for the protection of their people in escape, and offered them light to travel in the dark.
