Eneth

The Eñethë (ɛŋɛθɛ, s. Eñeth) are the High Gods of Un. They reside in Edyn Un, the Far Firmament of Un.

Origins

Many speculate on the manner of which the Eñethë were created, but it is generally agreed that they were formed by the Great One in the Time Uncounted.

Members

There are eight Eñethë, but the most well known and revered members and their titles are as follows.

• Aldura, The Divine Mother of Life, of Light, of Mercy
• Einádion, The Old Knowledge, Architect of Chaos
• Faenura, Crown of Nature, Queen of the Wild
• Gilaernos, the Father of Order, Lord of Justice

Relationships and Influence

Each Eñeth is patron to many Unnéth, and are regarded in some cases as their children. Amongst astrological beliefs of Tiriel there are Stars of the Eñethë; eight stars believed to be created by each of the High Gods. The eight days and eight months of the Andrithándar Calendar were once dedicated to the Eñethë, but has since assimilated to the larger cultural pool of Andrithiel.

Tiriel and the Planes of Mortality

The interventions and influence of the Eñethë has been rarely observed upon Tiriel, and in return they are little worshiped outside of the temples and sanctuaries that mortals have built them. This leads many cultures to worship and pray to more tangible figures, such as the Dwarf Lords, the Forebears of Men, and other persons of great renown, i.e., Anumír of Old.
