Súriema

Súriema is one of Tiriel's two moons, the other being Nenriema.

Behavior & Appearance

Súriema is the larger of the two moons, and slower, having an average cycle length of around 92 days, double that of Nenriema's 44. It has a muted blue color that turns more pale in colder seasons, and so is often known as the Silver Moon.

Mythology & Tradition

In ancient song and lore it is said that Súriema and Nenriema are the spirits of two brothers who gave their lives for the protection of their people in escape, and offered them light to travel in the dark.
